Thank you for the invitation. Unfortunately, our fleet members are unable to attend on such short notice. Randy Smyth, Matt Struble and myself will be attending the European Jav B/Open F-18HT Championship in Rimini, Italy during this July. We look forward to sailing with our EU counterparts.
It is important that F-18HT sailors on both sides of the Atlantic work together to build this budding class. We are planning to host a major International F-18HT event in Florida, USA during May-June of 2003. Details will be forthcomming. Please join our forum so that we may keep in touch.

WF, Where in Italy (north/south) is Rimini? Delta just started service, Atlanta to Milan, which is just outside of Lake Como, Italy. Would Rimini be closer to Rome or Milan? I would love to get over there for some wine and racing in the alps! Are you guys using charter boats? Thanks, Tim...

Tim, Rimini is on the Adriatic Sea and is south of Venice. The nearest airports are Rimini (RMI) and Bologna (50-100 miles to the west). It would great to see you in Italy. I know that the Bimare Factory is willing to charter boats to potential US customers and arrange shipping to the USA, after the regatta. Maybe, you can talk someone from Florida into joining our class and taking advantage of this offer! Regardless, it would be great if you could take advantage of your Delta employee benefit and "drop by". If I don't see you in Italy, then maybe I will see you at the Mug Race in Jacksonville.

There had been mention of a F-18HT World Championships being held in the USA next year. Has there been any further planning regarding this event? Where in the USA would the event be held and during what season?
I am sure that several European F-18HT sailors are interested in this development, as am I. It is good to see USA sailors coming across the Atlantic to visit us!
