I mentioned in my "Class Business" post that class officers and committees would be elected at the Classes' first General Meeting in Key Largo, during the NAs.
I suggest the following positions/officers:
Commodore-Our fearless leader!
Secretary-To keep our records, etc.
Treasurer-We will be voting on appropriate dues at the November meeting.
WebMaster (Peter Cogan is doing a great job and offers to continue)
Public Relations/Communication Person-Much needed to get the word out. Race results should be sent to all local papers, to magazines like Sailing World. Sail, Multihulls, Sailing, Cat Sailor, and to news stations (when video is available). This person could be our offical spokesperson on various websites as well.
Transportation/Quartermaster-To coordinate class trailers and equipment movements.
Measurer-
Committees:
Regatta Committee (sub committees for each class regatta)
Rules/Measurement
Other committees could be formed as needed.
I look forward to the class members comments and suggestions on these topics.
