18HT in the UK?

can somebody give me some information about the 18HT scene in the UK:
- manufacturers (if there are any)
- dealers that sell 18HT boats
- boat prices in £<br> - active sailors and/or fleets
- events

Hi Pipo,
the answer to all yr questions is NO.
There is no manufacturer of F18HT cats in the UK. It is said that John Pierce of Stealthmarine is working on a prototype.
As far as I know neither BIMARE nor Ventilo have an UK importer.
With regard to the active sailor I know that William Sunnuck and Mark Self registered for the 2003 Worrell 1000 to be sailed on a BIMARE Javelin 2. However I don't know if they plan to buy a Javelin 2 before the event in order to make some practice.
The cheaper F18HT boat is the Javelin 2 (under GBP 9,000 in Italy, may be GBP 10,000 in the UK shipping included).
