Hi all, I have a few (incomplete) info about the results of the Coupe d'Europe 18HT to share with you. 13 F18HT attended the Event, whose 3 new Javelins 2, 3 or 4 BIMs 18HT (old version) and the remaining Ventilo 18HT. The races were held mostly in very light wind (2-6 knots). Only one heat was raced in trapezing condition. The first place went to a mixed French crew (husband and wife) Mathelin JeanChristophe- Mathelin Natalie on a BIM 18HT. The old BIMARE boat proved again to be the winning design in very light condition. However the only race disputed in trapezing condition was clearly won by the Javelin 2 of Maurizio Saragoni, who was able to overcome also in elapsed time all the F20 (mostly Ventilos 20 CB). It deserves a mention that 2 out of 3 Javelin 2's owners sailed the boat for the first time at the Europeans. After the BIM 18HT, the second and third places were won by 2 Swiss Ventilos 18HT, with other 2 Javelins 2 coming in fourth and fifth place. That's all for the moment. Let's wait for the official results on the Yacht Club web site.
